Yikes I'd feel awful if that is true. Maybe someone can pop in and confirm/disprove this. |

That is correct, to get the pre-order item and entrance into the final betas as well as the early play on release you will have to have the pre-order code that comes with the pre-order box. If you did not get the pre-order box you will not have access to any of that.

Question: Is the Friends Pass in the pre-order product good for just one friend and one weekend? Answer: Yes, you may invite a friend to join you during one Beta Weekend Event. Those friends who subsequently preorder the game and obtain the preorder package will also receive an invitation for a friend to join one Beta Weekend Event. The March and April Beta Weekend Events will be held exclusively for players who preorder Guild Wars or for those who have a Friend's Key that has not yet been used. So yes, you can use a friend's pass in the April beta if it is unused. Last edited by Deraku; Apr 04, 2005 at 12:53 AM // 00:53.. |

Thanks Deraku.
Though it's a bit confusing the way they worded it, "The March and April Beta Weekend Events will be held exclusively for players who preorder Guild Wars or for those who have a Friend's Key that has not yet been used." Wasn't that the case with all the BWEs? Or was there some other way of getting into them that I didn't know about? |

Your best bet with EB is just to bug them until they either agree to hold you a pre-order box when they do get them (my local EB has a dozen or so in the back) or just keep them reminded that they owe you a pre-order box. The final(?) BTW is coming April 15 and there shouldn't be any reason there are no beta boxes before. Just remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Futureshop has it too now. Saw racks of them when I went in the other day, in Ottawa (Canada) so you still have hope! Get thee to Ye Olde Future-Shoppe!
